Path of the Source

An immersive route between wild nature and ancient traces, the path of the cistern guides visitors to discover a hidden and precious corner of the park, where the water is a silent and vital protagonist.

Crossing a lush landscape, the path leads to the cave of the spring, a suggestive natural formation that preserves a still active water source.

Today, almost hidden from the dense spontaneous vegetation, the cave maintains intact its mysterious charm, evoking a sense of discovery and connection with the primordial elements of the territory.

Along the way, the storage tanks emerge: an ingenious hydraulic system composed of tanks connected to each other in a “double L” track.

These structures collected the spring water and transported it into two main tanks, placed on the edge of the path, witnessing a past in which the water was used with respect, aware of its preciousness, to drink the grazing animals and irrigate the vegetable gardens, orchards and vineyards that thrive in the territory.

The path of the spring is a fascinating journey, where nature and memory meet to give the visitor an authentic experience, far from the common places and close to the deep soul of the landscape.
